Rotero’s extensive range of electromagnets has recently been expanded with the Duro-Tech magnetic switches (solenoids) from Magnet-Schultz. A characteristic feature of this new version is the relatively high protection class IP65, which makes the components suitable for use in harsh conditions and extreme environments.
Rotero’s versatile Duro-Tech electromagnets are essentially standard solenoids used for switching electric motors, relays, electric locks and other devices.

Protection class IP65
The new solenoids stand out from all other electromagnets due to their IP65 protection class. This makes the components resistant to water and dust, among other things, and suitable for outdoor applications and areas with high levels of moisture or dust, for example.
The high protection class is achieved through the use of rubber seals and a special surface treatment that contributes to high corrosion resistance. You can choose between a standard galvanising process, optional zinc-nickel galvanising or an optional epoxy powder coating process.
The robust, cylindrical design, encapsulated coil, integrated connectors and neoprene sleeve also keep out dirt and offer good resistance to shocks and vibrations.
Performances
Two variants are available. The spring-assisted push or pull versions can switch in one direction, while the push-pull variant can switch bidirectionally within a single component. In both cases, sizes of 37, 45 and 63 mm are available. Applications can be found in transport equipment, the agricultural sector, yacht building, etc.
Technical specifications
Duro-Tech electromagnets have a coil insulation class of H (180 °C) and are suitable for applications within a temperature range of -40 to 50 °C. The standard operating cycles are: continuous (100%), intermittent (25%) and pulse (5%).
