The range offered by precision motion specialist DINGS includes various linear actuators with either a threaded spindle or a ball screw, depending on requirements. The smallest version in the range has a size of 6, which means it has a footprint of 14 x 14 mm. The version with a threaded spindle can be fitted with a Teflon coating to extend its service life, if required.

The Chinese company “DINGS” was founded in 2008 by Quanjun Ding and focuses on linear stepper motors and actuators. The products are manufactured in both China and the US and represented by a global network of companies. In the Netherlands, Rotero is the exclusive representative of the linear actuators.
The quality of the products is exceptionally high, as demonstrated by the performance of the smallest actuators in the range. These have a size 6 construction, which means a footprint of 14×14 mm. Two versions of these miniature models are available, with a ball screw and a threaded spindle respectively.
With ball screw spindle
The balls in the ball screw variant have a diameter of 0.8 mm; the spindle itself has a diameter of 3.3 mm. Miniature, but still capable of exerting a force of up to 12 N with an accuracy of ±0.05 mm.
With threaded spindle
The threaded spindle variant has the same compact dimensions of 14 x 14 mm and a spindle diameter of 3.5 mm, but can generate a continuous thrust of up to 20 N. In addition, it is possible to coat the spindle with Teflon if the application does not allow for the use of a lubricant. This coating also extends the service life and improves the thrust force.
Finishing spindle
In both cases, there are various options for finishing the end of the spindle: threaded end, smooth end, no finishing or customer-specific finishing. The options available for each specific diameter can be discussed with Rotero. The actuators can also be supplemented with an encoder as required.
The accompanying motor measures 14 x 14 mm and has a length of 30 mm. It features insulation class B, which means that the motor temperature may rise to a maximum of 130 °C at ambient temperatures of -20 to 55 °C. The standard motor is wound for a nominal current of 0.3 A, has a resistance of 22 ohms and an induction of 3.6 mH.
