With the 232 Q, JVL offers a new stepper motor from the QuickStep series equipped with an integrated controller (the SMC66). This makes the motors extremely compact, while the number of possibilities, functionalities and performance has only increased. How about a resolution of 409,600 steps/revolution, the possibility of control via various bus systems and the closed loop option for even greater accuracy? Using the MacTalk software, the motors are easy to set up and adjust to virtually any application.

- SMC66 controller
- closed-loop control,
- torque control mode,
- absolute encoder,
- M12 or M23 connector on the rear or top,
- resolution of 409,600 steps/revolution, resulting in very smooth and precise movement
- high-resolution encoder
Optional extras are:
- STO connector
- CANopen, industrial Ethernet and Wi-Fi/BET or wireless Ethernet
The SMC66 controller used is equipped with an RS485 and can be fitted with a CANbus interface or six different Industrial Ethernet protocols as required. Two wireless communication options are also available: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In addition, there are 8 I/Os that can be configured as inputs, outputs or analogue inputs.
The controller can be controlled via the nanoPLC and MacTalk and, thanks to its compact PCB, offers everything needed for advanced control and regulation tasks, both standalone and controlled via a PLC or PC. Finally, the Modbus RTU and CANopen connections contribute to easy connection with a PLC.
The MacTalk software can be used for installation, monitoring and diagnostics. This advanced software is intuitive and easy to use and is also suitable for both MAC and QuickStep motors. All parameters can be set, saved or uploaded via the software. It also offers the possibility to monitor parameters and motor status in real time. When commissioning the motors, the software supports the user in testing their entire system. This makes it easy to set up a test cycle and then set parameters such as speed, acceleration and torque. The distance to be travelled can also be selected, as well as the delay between movements.
