When the QX series inductive proximity switches with their QUADRO housing were announced in 1987, it marked a breakthrough in the field of machine control systems. By combining a compact housing, excellent bottom and cable sealing, and flexible mounting options, this new design offered a highly convenient and reliable solution to the operational challenges faced by machine manufacturers in the 1980s.

Nowadays, compact inductive proximity switches are widely available at low cost and with sufficient reliability. This has led DIS Sensors to decide to discontinue the development and production of the QX series of inductive proximity switches. This discontinuation will allow DIS Sensors to devote its resources entirely to developing sensors for the many applications where there is still room for improvement in reliability and performance. DIS Sensors will now focus even more on inclination, acceleration and angle sensors and tilt switches.
Production of the QX series is being gradually phased out. DIS Sensors will continue to process existing orders and new orders placed before 31 December 2018. No new orders will be accepted after this date. We advise customers who still require QX proximity switches for new or replacement stocks to estimate the number required and order them in good time.
