Italian company Ever Elettonica is introducing new variants with a Powerlink interface to its AW5 driver series. This makes these drivers ideal for controlling brushless motors, including both brushless DC motors and AC motors up to 80 V.

The drivers from Ever Elettonica’s AW5 series are available as a version with a fieldbus equipped with a Powerlink interface (DS402) and as a programmable version. These two variants offer the possibility of controlling two independent motors, whereby synchronising the movements in a multi-axis system is also possible without a fieldbus. In addition, they offer an independent input for the incremental encoder.
The drives with a Powerlink fieldbus can be configured via the USB service interface or using the proprietary Ever Studio software tool. The latter also makes it possible to quickly check all drive functions and debug them where necessary. The programmable variants from the AW5 series are set up via the e3PLC programming environment.
Ever Elettronica’s PC software tools have been developed – and are available – to enable the simple and rapid development, configuration and monitoring of any system. This means that companies have a tool at their disposal with which firmware can be managed independently for homing, positioning with relative or absolute distances and the generation of slope profiles, among other things. In addition, speed controls can be used via digital or analogue inputs or fieldbus.
Finally, the drivers provide advanced profile programming capabilities directly in the drive and event synchronisation for fast response applications such as labelling, tagging or on-the-fly cutting.
