AZ series (closed-loop stepper motor)

The AZ series from Oriental Motor is a versatile and innovative line of products based on an advanced closed-loop stepper motor. As standard, this motor is equipped with a mechanical absolute multi-turn encoder, ensuring high reliability and precision. For additional functionalities, the motor can be expanded with an electromagnetic brake and various gearboxes, such as spur, planetary, harmonic and right-angle versions. Thanks to this variety, the AZ series can be easily tailored to diverse applications, from simple movements to complex motion control solutions.

In addition to the motors, the AZ series offers a wide range of actuators, including grippers, electric cylinders, turntables, slides and rack and pinion systems. The controllers within the AZ series support various control methods, such as pulse and direction control (P&D), Modbus RTU (RS485) and I/O control. Moreover, there is support for industrial bus communication with protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT and Ethernet/IP. The EtherCAT versions, available with one to four axes per controller, make the installation of multiple drives simpler and more efficient. Compact models, ideal for AGV applications, can also be converted into an integrated solution.
