Vibrating magnets, which comprise a solenoid body and an armature, are installed as electromagnetic drives in a customer’s vibrating application.
The armature is held in place by a suitable spring-mass system so that there is always a nominal air gap.
When connected to the alternating current supply, the alternating voltage curve causes the system to generate vibration. If the vibrating magnet is directly connected to an AC grid, the system vibrates at twice the grid frequency. When using a half-wave rectifier, the system vibrates at the grid frequency.
