ES kill switch series for security applications

The German company Kissling, a specialist in circuits and relays, has created the ES series, a range of kill switches for industrial and mobile applications. ES stands for: Emergency/Safety. The compact, sealed and robust kill switches feature compact dimensions and high resistance against shock loads, vibration, dust and moisture. These characteristics are crucial for a safe and reliable switching response in the above-mentioned application areas!

Another characteristic is the IP6K9K rating, which means that an extra level of protection in the shape of a casing is not required for this switch. Furthermore, the user will benefit from the fact that this is a plug&play system, which also makes it suitable for use in hazardous environments. Safety-related switching applications leave no room for compromise where quality is concerned. Kissling is well aware of that fact.

In addition to the standard version, the kill switches are also available in several special variants. There are, for example, versions with a 30 or a 40 mm control button, with a DIN or a single connection and, optionally, a safety feature that protects against unintentional operation. Furthermore, an illuminated variant is to be introduced to the market in the third quarter of 2018.

  • Sealed casing in accordance with IP6K9K
  • 1-, 2- & 3-pin versions, NO & NC
  • 2-pin switch version
  • NC function with a positive ‘open’ operation
  • Continuous current of 10 mA to 10 A
  • Mechanical useful life up to 40,000 cycles
  • Operating temperature ranging from -40 to +85 °C
  • Electrical connection options include DIN connectors and loose connections
