Static or mobile and flexible for use in a wide range of tasks. What has not changed are the hardware components responsible for a robot’s entire “movement apparatus”. But developments have taken place in this area too. At Rotero, we have experienced and led these developments at close quarters. Our in-depth experience with these systems enables us to continue to lead the way in innovation.

Robots: Industry’s friendly helper
Children often draw robots as “mechanical dolls”. Robots are sometimes viewed in this way in industry too, especially when it comes to collaborative robots (cobots). Sometimes only one arm of the mechanical doll is used, while at other times multiple arms work together with matching gripper mechanisms. In addition, robots are increasingly being equipped with eyes in the form of advanced vision systems.
Rotero as an expert and authority in robotics
Erwin van Duren, commercial director of Rotero Netherlands, emphasises the importance of all components required for rotary or linear movements, gripping and holding, and the transfer of forces. In addition, there are control elements such as sensors that can see, feel and measure, and which, in combination with a (safety) control system, make the robot as safe as possible.
Erwin van Duren: “The capabilities of robots have increased at a relatively rapid pace, partly due to the speed at which compact processors can process data, sensors that are becoming increasingly cheaper, and developments in materials technology that allow us to build more compact and lighter structures. However, the robot’s “movement apparatus” remains virtually unchanged. We continue to try to mimic “perfect” human behaviour with these technical marvels. Our expertise in the field and our continuous research into new technologies ensure that we not only follow new trends, but also shape them.”
Reliability and quality: Rotero and robotics – for decades
Rotero has been part of the supply chain since the early days of robotics, with a product range that includes linear and rotary drives, electromagnets and solenoid valves, sensors and relays. Van Duren: ” Like robotics itself, our components have grown alongside technological advances. Think, for example, of the miniaturisation of components while maintaining performance, making integration into robots increasingly easier. Sensors are also becoming cheaper and there are developments in the field of measurement, control and regulation technology. This allows various drives in the movement system to be made reliable, dynamic and flexible.”
As a long-standing player in the robotics industry, Rotero is known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Our team of technical specialists, with both theoretical and practical knowledge, ensures that every solution we offer is reliable and effective. We maintain strict quality controls and our products have been tested and proven in countless industrial applications.
Knowledge, skill and experience: Rotero’s expertise resonates in every component
Rotero exclusively represents companies and brands with high-quality products and is always willing to think along with you and adapt. This allows Rotero to effortlessly keep up with developments in robotics. Van Duren: “When you know and understand your customers’ wishes well, translating them into a technical solution is no problem for us. Our technical specialists therefore make the difference when offering a solution within a robot application. We know our customers, we have knowledge of robotics and of how our drives, sensors and switches can deliver maximum added value. In addition, we have access to extensive backup in the form of our suppliers, whose knowledge and capabilities go even further. Robotics and Rotero are a perfect match in that respect.”
