06-05-2020 | Italian suppliers are starting up their businesses again

More and more Italian suppliers are open again after the mandatory closure. This means that the flow of goods from Italy is getting going again. Some from the Far East may experience some delay due to limited air traffic.

It goes without saying that we at Rotero still follow the advice of the National Government and RIVM. By making good agreements, we are able to continue our business activities as you have come to expect from us.

24-03-2020 | Update COVID-19 Italian suppliers

Last weekend, further measures were taken by the Italian government to combat COVID-19. All non-essential companies are closed until Monday April 6. Rotero also has suppliers who are located in Italy and therefore have to close their doors.

This includes:

  • Fandis
  • Servomech
  • Texa
  • Fergas
  • Drive systems
  • MaTiKa
  • OSLV

In order to be able to meet the demand of our customers as much as possible, we have had in-stock items shipped and where possible we placed extra orders. With this we hope to limit delivery time problems of existing orders as much as possible. If these are delayed after all, we will inform you asap. For new orders we expect a slightly longer delivery time than you are used to from us. It goes without saying that we make every effort to deliver these orders to you as soon as possible.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the Netherlands, Rotero has been following, for both the Netherlands and Belgium, the advice of the national government and RIVM with regard to limiting the spread of the virus. After the cabinet announced extensive measures last Sunday, we took immediate action on this.

Employees work at home as much as possible
Everyone whose work allows it works at home. Because we want to continue receiving goods and shipments as much as possible, our colleagues from the office staff will be present at the office. They will of course follow the hygiene rules as drawn up by RIVM. These colleagues will also stay at home with any form of cold complaints.

Visiting appointments
Our product managers will work remotely as much as possible. Fortunately, all our software works in the cloud and we therefore expect relatively few problems. For you and our safety, we postpone visits to our clients until the situation has improved.

Availability by phone
Because we work at the office with a minimum occupancy, it may happen that we are less accessible by telephone. We ask for your understanding.

Current and new orders
Despite the fact that a number of suppliers in Italy have closed their factories, we are currently not aware of any delays in deliveries.

The above measures will remain in force until April 6. If the situation changes, we will of course keep you informed.
